– Provides lots of information about how to craft a D&D adventure within Ravnica. – Provides gameplay details for the guilds of Ravnica. ![]() – Provides gameplay details for the races of Ravnica. Update (3): It’s official! Along with the (totally expected) Eberron ( Wayfinder’s Guide to Eberron), Ravnica is joining the Dungeons & Dragons multiverse!ġ Amazon currently owes us money, so no links right now.– Explains the world of Ravnica and its backstory especially dives into the backstory for the races, places, and guilds of Ravnica. We just hope Wizards of the Coast is ready to carry through with it. There is so much opportunity this crossover represents. The more we consider the possibilities, the more excited we get. Will Elminster one day have to face down Nicol Bolas? Will Mordenkainen one day collaborate with Jace Beleren? Will Sorin Markov introduce the oft-homebrewed discipline of sangromancy into the D&D canon? Will we get an official setting that uses spell points (mana) instead of the clunky Vancian spell slots system? Will spellcasters finally be able to wear armour and cast magic unimpeded, as we see with so many planeswalkers? Many might be wondering what this might mean for the future of the franchise. While this isn’t the first time that the Dungeons & Dragons team has provided a means to integrate the two games (free rules for playing D&D in the planes of Amonkhet, Innistrad, Kaladesh, and Zendikar have been available on Dungeon Masters Guild for some time), this would be the first time they were connected in an official way, with a full campaign setting book devoted to it. Ravnica is a plane of existence in the multiverse setting of Magic: The Gathering, another Wizards of the Coast franchise. 1 If the name sounds familiar, you aren’t mistaken. Though an official announcement wasn’t planned until tomorrow, a surprising Amazon listing was discovered earlier today: Guildmasters’ Guide to Ravnica.
